So Mother Nature strikes again an this time are thoughts and prayers are directed to the people of the Sichuan area of China as yesterday ...(From the Washington Post)
A 7.0-magnitude earthquake rocked a mountainous area of China’s western Sichuan province Saturday less than 100 miles from the provincial capital of Chengdu, killing at least 179 people, injuring thousands and leaving tens of thousands of others homeless.
Premier Li Keqiang hurried to the province as Chinese troops picked through ruins to rescue those trapped in collapsed buildings. Al Jazeera reports today that the death total is a 203 and the Frantic search for China quake survivors and once again as I look at the pictures it's hard to image the devastation and destruction wrought by these earthquakes the second within the last week. The other being along the Iranian - Pakistani border.
Speaking of devastation let's go back to that fertilizer plant explosion in West, Texas. Yesterday I wrote about the lack of zoning regulations in the Texas town and today we read that the last time the plant hard been inspected by OSHA was in 1985. Oh these pesky regulators all they do is maybe prevent accidents like these from happening!!

OSHA cited the plant for four other serious violations of respiratory protection standards but did not issue fines. The maximum fine for a serious violation was $1,000. Continue Reading
Finally, I read at Think Progress that an: Arkansas Lawmaker Mocks Boston ‘Liberals,’ Says They Wish They Had Assault Rifles. Oh, I can see it now everyone has assault weapons and the police and Homeland Security can't tell the good guys from the bad ones, and all the wing-nuts would be out tracking down and killing all those Muslims, like Alex Jones said he would do! Yeah it would be such a good thing!
On Friday morning, Arkansas State Rep. Nate Bell (R) tweeted that “liberal” Boston residents likely wished for assault rifles and high-capacity magazines, as the manhunt for Boston Marathon bombing suspects continued.
Bell, a second-term legislator and National Rifle Association life member, has previously supported allowing guns in churches as “removing a state mandated restriction on religious freedom.”
His tweet said:
I wonder how many Boston liberals spent the night cowering in their homes wishing they had an AR-15 with a hi-capacity magazine? #2A— Nate Bell (@NateBell4AR) April 19, 2013 Continue Reading
I would hope that the answer would be NONE!
