While you know there are,  or at least you hope there are, sane men in the state of Texas, today's report in Think Progress, proves their existence, as men join in the fight over women's reproductive rights!

AUSTIN, Texas — More than 5,000 Texans gathered on the lawn of the State Capitol Monday to voice their outrage about stringent new abortion restrictions that, if passed, would make it virtually impossible for women in large swaths of the state to access reproductive care.
Large turnout for the rally came after Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX) called a second special session in order to try to pass legislation that had been defeated by State Sen. Wendy Davis (D) in a remarkable 13-hour filibuster last week. If it succeeds, the legislation would, among other changes, criminalize abortion after 20 weeks and create onerous new regulations that would force virtually all of the state’s abortion clinics to shut down. Surrounded By Men, Ohio Governor Signs Stringent Abortion Restrictions Into Law

Flanked by a group of other male officials, Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) signed a contentious two-year budget bill into law on Sunday evening. The governor vetoed 22 amendments to HB 59 before approving it, but he left intact several provisions that will severely limit women’s reproductive access.
The new budget, which takes effect on Monday, includes at least five new anti-abortion provisions. HB 59 will defund Planned Parenthood clinics, reallocate family planning funding to right-wing “crisis pregnancy centers,” strip funding from rape crisis centers that give their clients any information about abortion services, impose harsh restrictions on abortion clinics that will force many of them to shut down, and require doctors to give women seeking abortion information about the presence of a “fetal heartbeat.”  Read More

During his New Rules segment on Real Time this Friday evening, Bill Maher went after these so-called "family values" Republicans and the real reason they hate the the morning after pill and the HPV vaccine -- "because they remove God's natural intended punishments for sluts who put out."
